Scissor Sisters first album got five awards, including three BRIT Awards (Best International Group, Best International Breakthrough Act, and Best International Album, a Bambi Prize, and a GLAAD Media Award. After That Ta-Dah won the group a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Music Artist and the Ivor Novello Award for Most Performed Work for "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'". Other recognitions include the concert of the Year award from Virgin Radio for their performance at the 2004 V Festival, "Take Your Mama Out" making Blender magazine's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born", and both studio albums being placed on Out's "100 Greatest, Gayest Albums" list. Overall, Scissor Sisters has received 8 awards from 23 nominations.
